Mission

The International Leadership Charter High School will implement an academically rigorous college preparatory curriculum that will elevate students’ intellectual capacity, provide a superior high school education to prepare our scholars for a higher education. We seek to expand students’ knowledge of international studies and to cultivate their leadership skills with a commitment to community service, social action and civic participation in a global society. Our mission is to change lives and transform communities, one scholar at a time.
 

History

International Leadership Charter High School, the first public charter high school in the Bronx, opened its doors on September 11th, 2006, to serve 88 9th grade students.

Our first graduating class at International Leadership Charter High School witnessed 95% of its students graduate, many of whom proudly went on to be the first in their family to attend college. This accomplishment has continued each year, culminating in the US News & World Report naming International Leadership CHS one of the Best High Schools Nationally receiving Bronze level recognition.

This success continues to be possible due to the commitment of the International Leadership Charter High School family not only to its own upward trajectory, but also to that of the community it serves. We are a SUNY CSI authorized charter school as of 2018.
