Job Description:
1.To implement the District's curriculum for their grade level or subject matter.
2. Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
3. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of students.
4. Employ instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting curriculum objectives.
5. Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
6 Recognizes special needs of students on a regular basis, seeking the assistance of the District specialists as required.
7. Assist the administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct on campus.
8 Develop a discipline plan for own classroom and execute the plan.
9. Provide an ongoing system of communication between parent and school to keep parents abreast of student successes and failures.
10. Plan and supervise teacher assistants and volunteers if applicable.
11. Strive to maintain and improve professional competence.
12. Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
