  4-day Student Work Week
 
We are seeking individuals interested in being an important part of our organization. Commitment to academic rigor, innovative instruction, standards of excellence and professional development are critical components of helping us continue to be an effective high-performing school.
 
Teachers will join an Award-winning team of professionals to teaching students skills and knowledge through courses aligned with Colorado Academic Standards. Math teachers deliver lessons that develop students' theoretical and applied mathematical skills and are responsible for assigning homework, grading assignments and quizzes, and documenting students' progress.
 
Middle/high school courses include Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus
 
Candidates should possess a thorough understanding of effective teaching practices. Preferred experience and philosophical agreement with Direct Instruction (Madeline Hunter Method: I do, we do, you do), Teach Like a Champion techniques, skill mastery, high expectations, and classical education approach.
 
Math Teacher Responsibilities:
  • Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students' understanding and application of mathematical concepts and skills;
  • Preparing and distributing learning material such as notes, assignments, and quizzes;
  • Sourcing the resources and supplies needed for lessons;
  • Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning;
  • Grading assignments and quizzes in a timely manner;
  • Invigilating quizzes and final examinations;
  • Documenting and reporting on students' progress;
  • Attending meetings with parents and staff;

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:
  • Valid Colorado teaching license with endorsement in Secondary math OR 36 math credit hours OR Passed PRAXIS mathematics exam;
  • Specific knowledge of subject assigned;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
Previous teaching experience preferred or other work with children
