Job Description:

Our kids are the best!  As a Pre-K assistant teacher at our Bridgeport I Child Development Center you’ll be responsible for nurturing the hearts and minds of preschoolers during some of their most formative years, while instilling in them a dedication to life-long learning.

Our Bridgeport I location boasts two on-site outdoor play areas — including a rooftop playground — and a gym is available for indoor physical activities.  We use the Creative Curriculum to design a learning environment that includes centers such as blocks, art, library, sand and water, music and movement, cooking and computers.

Our center reflects the diversity of the neighborhood: each classroom includes multilingual staff members who speak English and Chinese.  We collaborate with families to identify programs that provide social service resources, education, and training opportunities to suit their needs. We also partner with Chicago Public Schools to provide State Preschool for All and Prevention Initiative Programs that provide a seamless transition for children from preschool into the public school system.

The talented staff members at Bridgeport I have dedicated their careers to early childhood education and have been providing excellence in early childhood education in the community for over 30 years. We’re committed to helping you to be the best assistant teacher you can be, and we hope you’ll consider joining our team!
