Hermosa Montessori School in Tucson, AZ has an opening for a Special Education Teacher position in our Exceptional Student Services department. There will be a small and concentrated caseload. A successful Special Education Teacher will:
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE)
• Identify the needs of assigned students through formal and informal assessments
• Collaborate with general education teachers to utilize appropriate methods of learning delivery and instruction to meet the needs of each student
• Prepare timely progress reports for each student
• Maintain regular communication with parents by means of email, phone calls, conferences, and progress reports
