ABOUT OUR SCHOOL:

Excel Academy is a charter public school of choice serving 500 students in kindergarten through 8th grade within Jeffco Public Schools. Our custom-built 21st-century facility and campus is located in beautiful northwest Arvada, Colorado, just one block south of Standley Lake Regional Park and surrounded by the Michael Northey Park. Founded in 1995, Excel Academy is a collaboration of students, educators, and parents who cultivate independent, life-long learners. We promote excellence through a rigorous and engaging curriculum that is delivered in a flexible and appropriate manner for each child. Our school utilizes a variety of intentionally-adopted curricula and flexible instructional strategies to differentiate and support each student in becoming an increasingly self-directed learner within a respectful learning environment. 2022-23 CLASSROOM TEACHING POSITIONS:
andidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher education and meet “in field” status as determined by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) through passing score on the appropriate content exam and/or completion of specified college courses OR through holding current and valid Colorado teaching license with endorsement in the specified content area.

• ELEMENTARY TEACHER - (Full Time, starting August 5, 2022) We anticipate an opening in the primary grades and an opening in the intermediate grades.
  
   
• MIDDLE SCHOOL ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS - (Full Time, starting August 5, 2022) 

2022-23 EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT SERVICES POSITIONS:
Our Educational Support Services team includes literacy and math interventionists, a social-emotional learning specialist, two gifted and talented specialists, three special education learning specialists, a social worker/mental health provider, a speech-language pathologist, and an occupational therapist. 

• SPECIAL EDUCATION LEARNING SPECIALIST - (Full Time, Starting August 5, 2022) One of our Special Education Teachers will be shifting to a classroom teacher position by their request. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who holds a current and valid license from the Colorado Department of Education with Special Education Generalist endorsement.
   
• SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST - (Part Time/20 hours per week, Starting August 5, 2022) Our amazing SLP is retiring, creating a unique opportunity for someone who holds a Special Service Provider License in School Speech Language Pathology from the Colorado Department of Education to join our community.
