Moencopi Day School (MDS) is a elementary Grant School that has grades Kindergarten through 6th grade. MDS is located on the Hopi reservation of Moenkopi.Moencopi Day School is a Tribally Controlled School and receives federal funding from the Bureau of Indian Education. MDS has been in existence since the mid 1970s.
The school population consists of Hopi and Navajo children; with some anglo and other federally recognized tribes.
