Job Description:

Brighter Choice is a brand-new childcare center dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children. As a new center with a strong focus on quality education and child development, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Education Director to lead our team and ensure the delivery of exceptional childcare services.

As the Education Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our daycare center's operations. Your primary focus will be to provide visionary leadership, develop and implement educational programs, manage staff, and create a positive and engaging environment for children. By promoting a culture of excellence, you will help shape the future of our daycare center and make a lasting impact on the lives of the children and families we serve.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with early childhood education best practices, promotes holistic development, and stimulates children's curiosity and learning.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of dedicated childcare professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with parents and families, fostering open communication and addressing their concerns and feedback promptly.
  • Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluation of teaching staff, promoting ongoing professional development and growth.
  • Manage the center's budget, resources, and supplies effectively, ensuring efficient operations while maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute marketing and enrollment strategies to attract and retain families.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, research, and best practices, implementing innovative approaches to enhance the center's educational programs and services.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field.
  • NYS Teaching Certification (Birth-2nd).
  • Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.
  • 2 or more years of center leadership/ management experience and/or group teacher experience for children under 6 years old.
  • Strong knowledge of child development principles, curriculum planning, and age-appropriate teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with parents, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational abilities, including budgeting, resource. management, and attention to detail.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
