Job Description:

Buffalo Creek Academy is a new public charter middle school opening on the Eastside of Buffalo in August of 2020 with a founding class of 112 students; 56 fifth graders and 56 sixth graders. We are currently building our founding team of dynamic, talented, goal-oriented professionals who are ready to sharpen minds! We will work together to prepare our students to graduate from college and positively impact our community. We are currently seeking pioneers to be our founding General Education Teachers.

Job Requirements:

  • Planning and execution of high-quality lessons to support robust academic growth of all students.
  • Analysis of student assessment results to further student mastery
  • Support of professional habit growth of all students, including organization, time management, and communication.
  • Execution of all classroom systems to support the LIFE values.
  • Collaboration with Special Education teachers to support students with IEPs and 504 Plans.
  • Facilitation and intervention as directed by the Academic Support Coordinator.
  • Operational support of various school systems to ensure efficiency of student arrival, dismissal, transitions, and needs
  • Provisions of both push-in and pull-out support services for students with IEPs and 504 Plans.
  • Collaboration with general education teachers for planning of supports for students with special needs.
  • All other duties assigned by (CEO).
