The Aurora Center is a 22,000-square-foot, environmentally sustainable building that features spacious classrooms lined with windows and filled with natural light. As part of our Healthy Lifestyles curriculum, we cook on-site, allowing us to serve healthier food and cater to children’s taste preferences. We have a center garden, where children plant, care for and harvest vegetables and flowers, and share them with their families. With your help, children also help plan and assist with parent/child activity nights throughout the summer.

We are currently seeking a full-time Two’s Teacher for our Aurora Early Learning Center.

Job Summary

Manage classroom atmosphere, including nurturing children, planning class curriculum that is developmentally appropriate (physical, mental, social, emotional and cognitive) maintaining communication with parents.

  •  Uses positive approaches to help children to solve problems.
  • Arranges classroom in well-defined learning centers that are clearly labeled, clutter-free and reflect children’s interests and encourage independent use.
  • Plans and implements a curriculum which is responsive to children’s individual needs, interests and developmental levels.
  • Follows all safety and health rules for the center, including all state, federal, NAEYC and One Hope United’s health and safety guidelines.

Job Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS 

  • High School Diploma required with 2 years of classroom experience or , CDA with 7 years classroom experience or, BA/BS with 1 year classroom experience.
