Job Description:

Take your career to the next level at our Joliet Child Development Center!

As Center Director you’ll have the opportunity to nurture the hearts and minds of children from 6 weeks to school age, instilling in them a dedication to life-long learning.  We believe children “learn by doing,” an approach that allows young minds to explore and understand the world around them.

Joliet Child Development Center opened this summer after undergoing nearly $5M in renovations. Located at 500 Parks Ave., the center provides high quality, affordable early childhood education programs.  Some Center details:

  • 13 classrooms serving children from infancy – school age up to 12 years old
  • Large gross motor room for indoor play
  • Staff and parent resource rooms
  • Spacious area for center and community-wide meetings
  • Outdoor play areas for infant/toddlers/two year olds, and preschool/school age children

Joliet, like all of our centers, uses the Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum program and GOLD assessment tool.  In addition, we incorporate our Healthy Lifestyles Curriculum into every classroom experience.

The Joliet Center Director will be responsible for following NAEYC requirements and continuing the self-study process that is currently underway as we pursue accreditation.

It’s our goal to have a Center that create safe and nurturing learning environments for children, and the Director plays a crucial role in fostering that atmosphere. We believe in a “learn by doing” approach that allows children to explore and understand the world around them.

The talented staff members at Joliet Child Development Center have dedicated their careers to early childhood education and are committed to helping you to be the best director you can be.  We hope you’ll consider joining our team!
