ABOUT THE POSITION
The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Teacher will assist the English Language team to coordinate, develop and deliver AEMG Academic English Language Courses in the classroom of AEMG Branches in China.
The position will be involved in:

LOCATIONS AVAIALBLE
An EAP Lecturer has the opportunity to spend an entire academic semester in one of the following cities:

Chongqing, Nanjing, Xi'an, Qingdao, Hohhot

VISA REQUIREMENTS

Successful EAP Lecturers need to comply with the requirements for obtaining a Z visa to work in China. The requirements to working inside of China with the Z visa include:

• English Native Speaking country approved by China including New Zealand, Australia, America, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, and South Africa.
• Be less than 60 years of age

ABOUT THE JOB

• Deliver English for Academic Purposes programs to Chinese university students who may transfer to overseas universities in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
• Carry out administrative functions in a timely and accurate manner, including but not restricted to recording attendance, providing written feedback on student assessment.
• Address individual student needs and concerns both inside and outside the classroom.
• Actively participate in and encourage professional development activities with local teachers at AEMG Branches in China.

ABOUT YOU

The applicant needs to have EITHER:

A) All documents (teaching certificate/s, university degree/s, criminal background check and medical reports already apostilled
OR
B) In a position where the documents can be apostilled.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree and above in relevant field (Masters or PhD qualifications highly desirable)
• CELTA, TEFL or TESOL
• Full-time teaching English language programs for an undergraduate degree
• Minimum of two-year EAP teaching experience at a recognised provider.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and present student-centred lessons aligned with course and learning outcomes.
• Experience in using a learning management system to assist and enhance the delivery of subject content.
• Excellent student/classroom engagement.
• Knowledge of assessment and moderation processes
• Highly developed communication and organisation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Fluent English speaker
