High School Science Teacher grades 7-12

Education: Classroom Teaching level3, Junior-High School

Science teachers at GCA work together as a team to instruct in a variety of science classes and even an occasional math or logic class. They will be working this year to refine our STEM department.

Courses will be divided between science and math teachers determined by strengths and interest. Those classes include General Science, Earth Science, Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Forensics. Available math courses include Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus. The Math/Science Department also covers Intro to Logic and Logic. 

In general, full-time GCA teachers are expected to teach four subjects totalling 20 to 24 credits per week. Teachers are given peer and administrative assistance. Curriculum is already developed and ready to utilize. 

All GCA staff also engage in Christian ministry on a regular basis with students and families. 

The following is expected of all GCA staff:

• Bachelors Degree in any field
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Clear testimony of salvation
• Be a member-in-good-standing in a Bible-believing church
• Demonstrate ability to instruct assigned subject matter effectively
• Demonstrate effective classroom management skills
• Have a desire to minister through an academic setting
• Weekly submission of lesson plans
• Participation in weekly staff training and special events
