Seeking bright, passionate and creative high school special educators who are highly knowledgable in a content area to join our team of superheroes at Townsend Harris HS! We are interested in your ideas and passions and what you bring to the classroom!
We have been building our program and team for the last 6 years and are interested in teacher leaders who love this work and want to be part of a team of learners who never run out of ideas on how to support students with IEPs!
Our school offers academically advanced courses and we provide support through ICT and SETSS within these courses.

Job Requirements:
Must be a current NYC DOE employee.
Must hold an SWD 7-12 license at this time and you will be working under this license. If your license is pending, it must be cleared before September.
If you have a subject specific license with a special education extension, you can also apply.
We strongly prefer that you are also licensed in a specific subject area. Otherwise, you should be highly qualified to teach a specific subject based on experience or believe you can learn to do so.
We are looking for someone with a big heart, who loves his/her/their students and is interested in finding creative ways to reach all learners!
